The Hobbit meets Hansel and Gretal with this storybook cottage in the redwood forest. This one of a kind home has been in the same family since 1957. Built by N.W. Schoorel in 1934, it is the ONLY home of its kind in Humboldt County. This cottage greets you with a brick walkway that leads you to the original door and hardware to start your story. The 3 rock fireplaces lead to a whimsical towering conical rock chimney. The wood sash windows throughout that have been restored as always have been, wood beams with incredible detail, concrete/stucco inlays, the Douglas Fir floors in the great room remain the same as they were in 1934. The concrete and brick floor in the kitchen is original to the cottage as well with and added modern twist in the kitchen and downstairs bath. A MUST SEE
