Ten million Americans lost their jobs over the last two weeks. The next announced unemployment rate on May 8th is expected to be in the double digits. Because the health crisis brought the economy to a screeching halt, many are feeling a personal financial crisis. 2010 is turning out to be so much better than 2009, not that things are back to where we were in 2006 but at least people are buying again.
The tax credit really helped get the year off to a good start and since the tax credit expired, we have seen a bit of a slow down.

Coming soon to the Sonoma Real Estate Market: A Big Wave of REOs. This was the news in our weekly Monday office meeting. We got word that the Bank of America is planning to introduce about 300 Sonoma County REOs within the next 90 days. We also heard that 30 of the REOs will be Sonoma Valley real estate listings and among them....will be a couple of $2 Million dollar properties.

The Rose City of California - Yuba City

Located in the region of mild Mediterranean climate dominated by wet, cold winters and dot, dry summers, Yuba City was home to the Maidu people until 1800s. But in the beginning of 1800s Yuba City saw the Maidu people encountered by the Mexicans and Spanish. The ‘Gold Rush’ in 1848 saw small establishments along the Yuba River. Yuba City got its first county seat in 1856. This region is also called as ‘Feather River Valley’.

Sacramento Community Information

The Sacramento Community Services Planning Council founded the 2-1-1 Sacramento service. This service is free of cost and is available to the residents all days of the week, round the clock! Special services are provided to the disabled. A special feature of this service is that assistance is rendered in many languages. This program is the combined initiative of the Sacramento Commissions for housing, human help, aging agency, courts, security of homeland, employment and emergency services.
